The HMS Spiggen
HMS Spiggen (HMS Stickleback) was a mini-submarine for the Swedish Navy. In 1954 the first mini-submarine was built in the Swedish fleet. The mini-boat Spiggen II was built in 1990 for the 1st submarine fleet as a target boat for submarines. With a length of 11 meters and a displacement of 12 tons in surface mode, it can accommodate three to four people.
The HMS Spiggen was used in the 19th century. It was rescued and erected from the Swedish navy around 2013. It has been donated to Kalix municipality, and is today exhibited in Töre port.
